Buck Owens was a true original. He was/is a Hero & Pioneer of Country Music. He will be missed. Playing "I've Got A Tiger By The Tail" now. RIP Buck.

Artist of the day : David McGhee

Photographer David McGhee is really one of the best photographers I have seen. His attention to detail is amazing. I really feel like this is what sets his photo's apart from the rest. His compostions keep my eyes on a continuous journey searching for more.

His e-books are great. One of my favorite is the "Camp Protest".

20th century Design Database

Very cool catalog of the greatest designers of the 20th century. You can look up designers by timeline or search by name. It just so happens that this site is bilingual. French and English versions. I guess now you can look up that table you bought at Target last week and find out that the Chinese didn't infact design it. What's that? Yes, a real designer back in 1933 beat them to it.

"TX by TX Bout" during SXSW

If you were wondering what the next big thing in Women's Flat Track Roller Derby was then wonder no more. The WFTDA national champions, Texas Rollergirls, are about to put on a TEXAS SIZE show. The SXSW "TX by TX Bout" a Texas Roller Derby Invitational. Texas teams: Assassination City, Dallas Derby Devils, East Texas Bombers, Alamo Rollergirls, Houston Roller Derby and of course the Texas Roller Derby Girls aka "TEXECUTIONERS" will all be represented.

Artist of the day: Serge Seidlitz

From wacky to beautiful, Serge Seidlitz has it going on! I always enjoy a fresh illustration and design site. The only draw back is the pop-up situation. However if you don't mind a few pop-ups the artwork is sure worth it. I really enjoy his U.S. map. Pac-Man on the prowl.
